When do you praise your dog?

When praising your dog, remember to make it happen at the time that the dog is doing the correct behaviour.

You have approximately 3 or so seconds to praise your dog.

Praising your dog is incredibly important, it tells your dog when it's doing the right behaviour and that you are happy with your dog.

Anytime your dog is doing anything that is calm, brave, relaxed, placid, gentle or what you are asking - this is when you should praise your dog.

As humans, we do tend to forget that we must praise and get very used to just telling off.

Praising your dog will help build your relationship with your dog in a positive way and you will enjoy each other more.
